The tough part about getting back into the rankings

is seeing the ranked teams in your schedule becoming unranked as you get closer to playing them.
I hope Notre Dame and North Carolina do not lose another game (maybe NC since they are ACC). I want Clemson to play and beat ranked teams in the remaining schedule. It does not make the point that we can be and perhaps are way better than what we've looked like so far if those teams are not ranked. If we can beat a #10 and a #13 it sends the desired message. Shoot, I would almost hope for the Gamecocks to be ranked just so we could knock them back down.

in the lower teens of the top 25. If we keep wining we will end up in a fairly good place in next year's preseason rankings. We are never going to be better than a two loss team.

Dabo won't run up the score just to get a bump in the polls. He's more concerned with schooling the underclassmen in preparing them to start in the next two seasons. He's also promised them playing time and they can protect the health of our starters by taking their places on the field early and often.

That's who we are now. I understand it, I like it and I'm glad Dabo works it that way. I know it upsets a lot of fans that we can't eke a way into the top 25 now but we are all grown and know how it works. Well, many of us are.

Choosing not to run up the score has nothing to do with this year's team, or last year's for that matter.

Sorry, I lol'd when you implied that Dabo will be calling off the dogs at any point this season and not running up the score with our 1st team offense.

Never thought I'd have so much nostalgia for the days when our biggest complaint was how long Dabo kept our starting QB/RB in the game because we were concerned about getting injured in a blowout.

Presbyterian Dabo said, 'No one is going to pad their stats against a weaker opponent.' That's not to say that he has been 'calling off the dogs,' this season. You misunderstood me.

If you'll notice Dabo continues to play our bench early and often. Always has, always will.

We really just need wins at this point. I would rather these teams all suck so we could get the wins, and then regroup for next year.
