This Clemson Basketball Team is Differrent

This Clemson basketball team is really different from previous Clemson teams that I've seen in the past (And I don't just mean from the Coach Brownell era):
1. We have a starting five that play and interact with each other better than any previous starting five that I can remember. I don't consider any of the them a super star. But together, they really play well--and if one or two of them are struggling, the others meld together to make up the difference for the struggling teammate(s).
2. Our bench is also very different. They are really young and really inexperienced. While we have several that have shown some potential, we really don't have a strong 6th player we can rely on.
3. For the last 60 years (and then some), we have always struggled at the free throw line. We may have had a player or two that consistently hit their shots from the free throw line, but never the entire team. This year the entire team is hitting from the free throw line. That alone seems like a miracle this year, based on our previous history.
4. This team is really trying hard when they are on the basketball floor. It doesn't matter if it is the starting five or the young & inexperienced bench players. It doesn't matter if they are playing well or if they are struggling. They are playing hard, and they are really "trying" to play well.

IMHO, of course.

A big difference is the leadership of the best four in PJ, Tyson, Chase and the very confident Galloway. Hate that Chase and Hemenway have been out, but just about everyone that steps on the floor provides positive contribution (Chase's brother was best on floor for moments yesterday, just as Beadle was for a nice run vs Duke) - DO wish we'd see PJ touching the ball MORE in the post and STILL baffled that the guys do not seem to know, once a shot goes up, to find the nearest opponent and box him out hard - will likely end the year in disappointing fashion by giving up too many O rebounds and put backs to our final opponent if that does not change. Otherwise, yes, this team is certainly different from nearly ALL of Brad's teams (he is now almost the DEAN of ACC coaches since we have graciously kept him around) and many others (though not nearly as talented or good as the best teams from Tates, Foster, Ellis, Barnes or OP - that having been said they MAY end up with the best ACC showing of any of them) -Go TIgers!
