Ohio State wants to fire their BB coach because he can’t get the team out of the first weekend of tournament. Clemson will give Brownell a contract extension just to make the tournament.

Brownell is not capable of dong anything about. I would take the OSU or the Kentucky coach.

the only thing that will get rid of this nothing of a coach is a total collapse for remainder of the season. Today looked like the Clemson basketball team I've gotten too used to seeing for the past 12-13 years - inept and lost.

Unfortunately, only Clemson players get tired at this time of year every year.

I really hope we pursue a personality like that of Dabo. We need a guy that can create a positive culture and convince talent to come to Clemson. Also that element of talent recognition for that occasional diamond in the rough

If we don't make the Big Dance with this team it will be another 4 years at least if we keep this coach.

No worries “all teams have bad weeks.” Well Brad it seems to be a routine thing to have our bad week in the month of February. You know the most critical portion where your postseason aspirations can be win or lost.

Did anyone actually think this coaching staff was going to transform the program from an annual NIT bubble team to a national power after 12 yrs?

No but every once in a while you hope for a lucky rabbits foot to come along, but it seems year in and year out UNC is one of those teams that we find away to trip over their heels.

I've been holding out hope that Brad's new 'old' assistant hires would help him rekindle some of his ability to close out games and seasons better than he's shown here. Going 4-2 to date in one possession games is a big improvement already, and certainly our hot start in league play was great. Going 3-4 since getting ranked in the Top 25 is a bummer though, and it being the critical home stretch here hasn't exactly been inspiring.
Earlier in the season it really seemed like the kids were enjoying themselves out there playing and competing, and they looked really confident in the closing minutes of games, which is kind of a new development around here. I haven't really seen that kind of joy though since we got in the heart of ACC play. Hopefully the staff can regroup here and get that mentality back going. Hoping we can end our 3-game skid at home vs FSU Wednesday, and use that to build some momentum for what's left of the season ahead.
Go Tigers. Go Brad Whisperer.

Beginning to look, sound and feel like the same old song and dance, but it is just my opinion, if Clemson doesn't make the big dance it might be time to find a new partner who can get at least get us to the dance.

i'm shocked than anyone is shocked about our b-ball team. we got some fans that complain about our b-ball program as if it's something that SHOULD be much better. we got some fans that complain like gamecock fans complain about not competing for the SEC in football. and everyone sits back and laughs at 'em for letting a historically failing program get their hopes up, in the first place.
that's clemson b-ball. ellis, shyatt, purnell, brownell... whoever,.. doesn't matter.
