It’s important to remember that the ACC is down this year. I know that the ACC is down this year because ESECPN has been telling me for 5 months that the ACC is down this year. ESECPN couldn’t possibly be wrong about the ACC being down this year, because everyone that works at ESECPN is either an expert or an analyst and most of them are expert analysts and expert analysts couldn’t possibly be wrong about the ACC being down this year.

So remember……the ACC is down this year.

Don’t know if the top two in a region have failed to make the second weekend since, but the top three seeds all fell before the Sweet Sixteen in the southeast region in 2000.

An 8th seeded North Carolina ended up advancing to the Final Four from the southeast that year.
