Watching highlight from some of the previous national championship games and they would all beat Michigan/Washington by at least 2 TDs. Sucks that we weren’t able to take care of such a weak field this year. However I do expect our offense to take off next year and the defense to be as good as ever

We may never see the quality of team of even the recent past. It’s difficult to build a strong 2 deep team with too many hitting the portal wanting to be the starter.

I think Wash offense is up there with some teams but not sure a Top 5 defense wouldn't shut them down. And a great offense would score on them, just look at Wash St and Oregon, took outscoring to win.

So yeah I agree, Mich defense is as good as Wash has seen but their offense is less than Oregon probably. I think Wash wins because of Penix makes the plays. No way Wash hangs with great teams last 8yrs but they are better than some of the semi-final teams.
