It seems the weekend caught up to them…got to get better too many left on base. We made the Mizz pitcher look like Jennie Finch

It looks like we're struggling to bring in runs against better teams again. There's plenty of time to get better though.

Agree, bats need to get hot and stay hot in order to have a great season and advance to post-season. And clean up the errors. Got lucky in the previous games that the sloppiness didn’t catch up to them.

We swung at way too many pitches out of the strike zone. I’m sure the coaches won’t waste the loss.

Did it? I know it's only been 5 games. It is straining when it's that many but mizzou played that many too and they looked in mid season form. And we're the veteran team.
I'm assuming Val is ok, but as we found out, she played hurt two years ago. Her defense and pitching looked good. Her plate appearance didn't and her base running seemed off too. Mainly her speed.
As for our hitting throughout the line-up, disappointing to say the least. I hoped our hitting would be vastly improved. Again, logoleo had one good game, but outside of the high school team, 5-9 didn't produce any runs. We will improve, but I just don't see us improving to the level I'd hoped.

have taken it. After seeing the team after the opener, I would definitely take it. I am definitely troubled by the continuous miscues that is plaguing the team. Lots to get better from.

Agree lots to get better from. I would be more optimistic if the personnel were different. But 70% of our line-up is the same, and almost all are juniors and seniors. So, to paraphrase Dabo, we got who we got.
Contrary to what you said about 4-1. Yes and no. I thought we'd run rule 3 of the 5. Win all 5. Given that, there are days (even Oklahoma) where the runs just are hard to come by... no problem dropping a game but my main concern is the last 3 years, outside of Val, Makenzie, and a couple other here and there, when we face even good pitching, we are weak grounders, weak flys or pop-ups and k's.
Certainly a great pitcher will induce weak contact. That's not what I'm referring to. I really thought with all the talk and social media posts (a la our fb team last year) that the problem would have been addressed. Against any good comp, I'm afraid we're same old same old and our production will only be 1-4.
I pray I'll eat crow in April because other than fb , baseball/softball I crave.
