I've seen a lot of people jokingly talk about a TigerNet tailgate. So I have an idea, and this isn't a joke.
Clemson graduate Wil Lamb owns Roller Mills Smokehouse, and he's taken the Clemson area by storm. He owns a food truck, and the Clemson coaches are now using him for catering, Don Munson wants him to cater his box this year, and many of the players (Walker Parks especially) can't stay away. He recently bought a piece of property at 330 Greenville Highway, right off campus, and is building a restaurant which should be done by football season. I am telling you, he has the best ribs I've ever had, and I hope he names his rib meat sandwich after me. The pulled pork and the chicken are all equally outstanding.
So I called him this morning and asked if he would either host a tailgate or cater for us if we decided to have a get-together. We can charge just enough to cover the costs, and maybe get together the night before the first home game and get to know each other. Thoughts? Good idea? Bad idea? Nobody cares?

Agree but, if it isn't somewhere right close to Columbia, my back would never allow me to make that drive ever again even if my meal was gave to me with a Togo box to carry home for later!!!

I have seen the half joking half serious threads on the subject and I think it would be great. We should all get our avatars on a tshirt or cap, as the case may be. I can imagine FM with a beauty pageant style sash. All for it!

D. Hood's back for at least 2 years. If the rib sandwich is named after him which coot on here gets their name on the chicken?
Would be for anything on game day but night before would mean a second round trip..... but could "force" myself to show up.

You could make it a fund raiser by putting a dunking booth in the parking lot and convincing a few frequent posters to sit in the booth.
We could probably raise enough to replace Brownell.

A worse group of people to be around. Only thing I have in common with 90% of the people on here is that I pull for Clemson. There's actually a couple of them that I should get a protection order on based on their comments. I guess you could say that's a no for me.
I would love to try Lamb's restaurant and enjoy it with real friends and family. Cant wait to taste the ribs.

I eat BBQ from Wil's Roller Mills Smokehouse truck every week. Everything he makes is delicious. The pulled pork, the smoked chicken halves, and the ribs are all top notch. His sauces and sides are also terrific.
I've seen Wil's design for the restaurant across from First Citizens Bank in Clemson and it will be fun place to eat and relax. It will be different than any place I've ever seen.
Twenty years ago we used to have TigerNet social tailgates, usually on baseball weekends, but sometimes for the Spring Football Game. It was fun to meet most of the fans associated with their Tigernet names...most. I made new friends during those years that I still keep in touch with today. Surely will be fun to meet other Tiger fans there to fellowship over a great meal!
