A must

This is a must. Not just for his blind side, but for the whole OLINE itself. Cade took way too many hits in the backfield in the VOLS game.

Me thinks Ruke cross trains at SDE, plenty of depth inside

we do not have a Miles Murphy or a Shaq Lawson this year, and the depth is young at DE. Hopefully, Denhoff is the real deal and can contain the edge, or one of the frosh step up. This is a real area of concern, but I trust the coaches because they know better than the rest of us what they have waiting in the wings.

Ruke and/or Woods cross-trained at SDE seems like a good idea. I’m sure the coaches have a plan. But there is so much talent on the interior of the DL. Hopefully they can find a path to get depth on the edges, similar to when CW went outside for a year.

Denhoff will never play for us.

Not sure why you say that unless you have an inside scoop. Because the kid has a LOT of upside and I think he had a decent year off the bench this season and is a baller next year.

10 snaps in 2 years at Clemson, that is what jumps out at me.

There's been a ton of posts concerning oline and recruiting etc. Look no further than what Leigh and Dabo said about him. One of our very few 5* ol recruits. Imo, Leigh shut down that argument. Come in looking at stars and thinking that matters, you get to ride the pine. Saying, that 3* who's raw has the same, if not better opportunity to contribute and become a NFL player.

Agreed. Talent is extremely important, but desire and work ethic can get you there also.

would argue that work ethic and desire are more important than talent alone.would rather have someone with less talent who's willing to work hard and learn than a talented slacker.

When I saw that blind side thing it had me thinking we should bring in Leigh Anne Tuohy to have a talk with the O-line. Leigh meet Leigh.

Do not see two studs at defensive tackle

1

Jul 16, 2023, 11:25 AM

Brandon Rink reported team grades after the Tennessee game (attached). Ruke Orhorhoro was positively owned with a 47.2 grade. Bigger tackle Payton Page graded very well at 79.2. We know the entire DL will again dominate most of the ACC competition in 2023. But how will the Tiger DL fare against Florida State, Notre Dame, South Carolina, in the ACCCG and the bowl/playoff game -- the games that matter?

I hope to see Page playing a lot of reps this season and look for Peter Woods to challenge Barrett Carter, Trotter and Tyler Davis as top defensive performers in 2023.

The technique used by Tenn. To separate our offensive line like the Red Sea for the line backer to kill Cade. I hope our coaches watch and learn from that game. I am sure our competition has! Goo Tigers!
