Hoping the younger players with NFL upside will play early & often

The talented young guns will not be here in three years or possibly even next Spring if they do not get in the rotation early. The game has changed, and coaches are no longer able to stockpile and not play underclassmen talent.

As one example, imagine how many calls Sammy Brown will be getting if he's not in the starting rotation by early October. This certainly holds true for every talented player on every college team. The portal will reopen in early December, and talented players not playing will be considering their options.
