Yep, but if he is the highest rated player in the state, there can't be very much talent to be found in Kentucky bc he is only a 3 star recruit. When these 3 star recruits come to Clemson, they come bc there is a chance to play at Clemson when most the top SEC, and Big schools wouldn't offer them, not with a committable offer anyway, and they would have a chance to play at a big time school as a 3 star at Clemson. But even at Clemson they will only get mop up duty if they never progress into a 4 star talent, but there is a chance if they come in with the raw talent that a Grady Garrett or a Hunter Renfrow had when they come to Clemson and progressed into a top college talent and to the NFL!!!

Dont be worried about his being a 3 star right now

… he’s just wrapping up his sophomore year. Wait a year and see how he progresses.

Everyone is different, but for me, my biggest jump in quality (was on the Soccer Team at Clemson) was between the summer after my sophomore year.

I worked even harder that summer, focused more to become elite technically, and developed more confidence.

Stop trying to fit Pro-Style QBs into an RPO scheme

unless you're going to change the offense to fit them. Everybody isn't Trevor Lawrence and able to magically adapt their game. Find a true dual threat QB for 2026, or change the offense to a Michigan like pro-style spread scheme.

Exactly, and our coaches will bring in any style QB with the hopes they can get them to adapt to whatever offense we're running, and I think our offense has changed 3 different times under Dabo as HC, but each of them has to have a true dual threat QB or they just want work very well, and I believe that only DW4 and TL16 would have been successful in the SEC, and the Big hasn't been known for having a stout defense, that conference has mostly been successful bc of NFL type O lineman and really talented WR's, RB's, and really good TE's....

Ehhh, I wouldn’t get hung up on whether a HS QB prospect has played in a RPO type offense vs a PRO style offense.

My preference (not that anyone with real FB knowledge should care) is for HS prospects that play in a PRO style offense. That way, the QB’s arm talent gets highlighted.

In a HS RPO offense, the temptation for the QB (who is not uncommonly the best athlete on the team) to run the ball most of the time, since that is the low risk play. When the HS RPO QB finally decides to throw a pass, the WR target is often wide open; thus, any QB with mediocre arm talent can complete the pass.

In other words, the Taisun Phommachan type QB’s are HS RPO QB’s.

With the HS PRO QB’s, their foot speed can be assessed by our coaches when the prospect comes to camp. If the kid shows that he can run and is agile, then it isn’t some crazy stretch of the imagination to project him as a good RPO QB in G.Riley’s offense.

Just my 2 cents.

Cam can really spin it, especially on the deeper routes. Quick release and pretty quick on his feet. It will be interesting to see how he develops over the next two years.

He will progress and develop if he has raw talent with a big heart. Actually all successful dual threat QB's has a big heart, and it's a must have. DW4 and TL16 had plenty of talent with huge hearts, and that was a plus for their success bc if they couldn't run around a defender, they tried to run over or through them!!!

Watched to see how he kept his eyes downfield while scrambling, did a good job. Watched his ability to escape out of the pocket once it broke down. Did a good job. A whole lot of potential. Lets get more as we watch him this year. The coaches know what they want in a player. Come on young man don't forget us!!!! We are truly a family at Clemson. Lets go Tigers!!!!
