This is disappointing after Satterwhite. Westphal is a giant and I wanted to land him really bad but Idk I don’t think every time a kid commits to a sec school means we got outbid for him. Who knows tho, next man up on the board I guess. We need to start hitting on our top lineman again hoping 25 will be a great oline class. Go Tigers!!!

Your right, but I do believe that he will regret that decision at the end of his 4 years at Fla and they don't smell a chance to play for the NC, and Clemson will get in the playoffs and have the chance to play for another NC...
I'm guessing that Billy Napier can tell lies that anybody could believe, and he probably won't be the HC at Fla when Westphal graduates, if he doesn't enter the portal before then!!!

Big time because you ain't going there thinking you're going to even 'sniff' the CFP. The way I look at it, Clemson is a special place and thus is only for special kids...he clearly ain't one. That simple.

Kind of unusual that he changed his mind the last day before he announced. Maybe he was just playing us along. If I was going back and forth on a decision, I think I would just put off the announcement date to be sure.

After miss after miss after miss.
Thankfully we landed Ronan O'Connell but we’ve had way to many offensive lineman targets choose other options.
We needed to land at least 2 if not 3. We got one. Yes, it stings more the dirtpeckers landed some of them we wanted. Now we’ll have to settle for low rated guys that might develop…
Offensive linemen are already the hardest to evaluate. It’s tougher the more you go down the list into 2 and 3 star guys.

Fortunately we have some that redshirt and take the covid/health year. But, I would have thought we were due for another big cycle. Parks will most likely go this year. So, not much, if any will be left for 24. Roster wise we probably only needed 3 but a lot of the numbers imo are scout team. Must be missing something because it sure doesn't look like many for 24 season.

It’s very humid in Clemson, too, my man. I start sweating the moment I step out of the car. But, I will say that Florida is worse and I don’t care for that state at all.

Maybe its time to rethink this picking and choosing of players. We need to compete like the rest and start offering more recruits because it seems we are getting beat out. I guess we will need to use the Portal at some time because we have 1 Offensive Lineman committed right now....

He chose a program:
- that's gone 75-51 in the last decade.
- that's had 8x head coaches in the last decade.
- that's gone 6-7 in both of Napier's first two seasons.
This wasn't Clemson being out-recruited. This was Westphal taking the bag from a donor to come to Florida.

I read a story saying Florida has a good recruiting class but was missing an OL. They went all in with NIL to get him. They stole him based on money! He will probably be in the portal in a year or two and Clemson will not go after him.

until the Tigers start putting offensive linemen in the NFL on a consistent basis. I'm sure most high school linemen know or study on who can get them to the next level after college. If they don't know then someone is in their ear giving them this info. In todays ( messed up now ) college recruitment the NIL is a huge part of decisions for the recruits ( or from family, relatives or so called friends ). It is a wild west of of the have's and have not's. No real guidelines, regulations or caps on any money. With the schools that don't have or the one's that will not compete in the NIL world you are left with getting a 3 star or a maybe 4 star and hope you can coach them up to compete. It looks like loyalty from big time recruits no longer exists. Along with this comes sandbagging from some players who know they are NFL caliber in the junior year or last year in school. Seems like " for love of the game " is now slipping away.

Last year, we struggled to get a great RB, and much of that was related to having Shipley and Mafah. This year, we are missing several OL, but much of that may be related to the success from the previous 2 cycles. We have good OL players on the roster. Let's show them what we can do.
