Really hope XT can stay healthy this year. At 246 pounds he should be unstoppable. Line him up next to TD or Ruke and let the offense pick their poison.

XT is probably our biggest “if he stays healthy” guy this year.

I remember watching him his freshman year and he looked like he had all the tools to be one of the best if not the best DE to come through Clemson.
The articles and stories we’ve heard about him sound promising for this year and if he can live up to the hype he could be the standout in a really stellar defense.

Even if he gets mild to moderately hurt this year, he has to play through it. Proving his durability to the NFL will make $millions difference for him.

I kind of skimmed the article so please forgive if I missed it. But, I hope he’s graduated or at least really close. Football is temporary, but a degree is for life. About 5% of college players make it in the bigs and way way fewer make the big bucks. Lots of big name guys bust every year and sure things like Trevor Lawrence are the rare breeds of athletes. If you have ever seen a football game and you saw TL in high school you knew he was an NFL player and soon. Very few can say and do that.

I hope he can stay healthy and show what he is...a ferocious pass rusher that can shut down the run from any technique on the DL and probably play 2 9f the LB positions.
My eyes will be glued to him for the opener. I'm specifically looking at his jump off the Snap. I've watched his Clemson highlights numerous times and I don't say this with the slightest touch of hyperbole...XavierThomas, in his true fr. Season, had the fastest first step off the Snap I've ever seen. His get off makes him look like he's trying to time or anticipate the Snap but he was not. 8f he had been he would have racked up numerous penalties by doing so. He is different. His reaction time is insane. By the time the OT reacts off the Snap, many times before the guy can can set his first step XT is either up in his grill and has beaten him to the punch or he's already beat them and 2-3 steps past them.
If he has regained that or surpassed it, he will go 1st round. I truly believe the Clemson and ACC single season sack is in jeopardy. I am picturing a Daquan Bowers season from him.
