His comments are good for Clemson. It creates controversy and they knew there was a good chance GameDay would be at Death Valley next Saturday. It is all about entertainment to ESPN,

Really hope some of our more thin skinned fans lighten up a bit about an 87 year old man stating his opinion on a football game. As I said earlier tonight we should all be so lucky to have the ability to be wheeled out once a week and make "predictions" on football games and wear mascot heads. Hell hes usually wrong picking Tiger games anyway, relish it and give the old fella a break.

And he’s right! At this point. We are over rated. It’s just a fact. We are not playing top 5 football . The offense looks better. Defense looked terrible.

The rain on that day was a side effect of Hurricane Joaquin. Joaquin never even made landfall. Ian’s current predicted eye path is going right over Clemson on Saturday. It is predicted to be a tropical storm by then but it will still be a totally different animal than what Clemson saw on that BYOG game.
