Clemson is going to finish 9-3, 6-2 in the conference.
1. I assume that means he thinks FSU is one loss.
2. Who is the second loss in the conference?
3. Does he really think Clemson will beat FSU and lose 2 other conference games?
3. Who is the OOC loss? I assume he thinks it is the coots.
FSU is going to finish 9-2, 7-1.
1. So, they beat Clemson, but lose another ACC game. Who beats them? Pitt?
2. I assume the 2nd loss it to LSU.
Pitt is going to finish 6-2 in conference.
1. If they beat FSU, they have to lose two other games. Who? If they lose to FSU, then FSU has to lose to someone other than Pitt.
2. If they lose to FSU, then who does FSU lose to in the conference?
I'm sure it is possible for FSU to go 7-1, Clemson 6-2 and Pitt 6-2 with Clemson winning the tiebreaker. But, it's gonna take a couple of pretty big upsets for it to happen.

They have identified the OL as the real question. I agree with that assessment. However, I am expecting good things from the OL, particularly if the offense moves quicker. Blocking out 300 lbs monsters and picking up blitzing LB's is tough work, but it is helpful if the play develops a bit more quickly, and I think that will be the case. Also, a balanced offense keeps the defense more honest, and that also helps the OL.

I agree. I think this is a HUGE oversight by almost everyone. This offense is predicated by getting the ball out quick. It's essential! It's why motions and presnap is so important. The defensive players are forced to make a read right away and if one of several guys doesn't make the correct one, the ball is in the hands of a playmaker and you're beat.
If the QB makes the right presnap read, makes a quick decision and gets the ball out, the OL doesn't have to hold their block for 4 -5 seconds. The kryptonite for this O is a defensive line that can keep contain on the edges and get quick, constant pressure up the middle, so they crash or keep a quick LB free to get there. UGA-TCU 2022-23.

If the writer bases his projection off the last 2 seasons then it may not seem so far fetched. However, he clearly does not take into account how much better our offense and defense will be this year and that will make all the difference in the world if we stay healthy.

Trying to be objective. It is easier to evaluate a squad that has matured together over a more Unknown as a Clemson team is. Clemson has more to prove to me before I can agree with a 10 win season. The past few years we have gone into regular season confident of a champion caliber squad. I think we have the talent on the field but not convinced about the coaches in the trenches yet. Not questioning their ability but their effectiveness so far. I think it improves. We had some big holes to fill in the leadership on the sidelines. It will return not sure how long it takes.
