And we learn to take the good with the bad.

The Good: A walkoff win in the opener against the Coots at Segra Park, oh how satisfying it was, after blowing the lead in the ninth, and watching their little banny rooster reliever prance around the mound like the c.ock of the walk. Couldn't have scripted a better ending. Also, the girls came back after a disappointing Game 1 loss in the doubleheader, and run ruled Nancys Tate in Game Two. And, on a personal note, by very slow degrees, the swelling in the lower back is going down, and walking, at least with a walker, is not quite the dangerous adventure it has been. No spasms for four days now, a blessing for sure.

The Bad: Softball looked really listless and nonfocused in the first game, and the Wuffies took full advantage of it. If we have ever had an embarassing loss on the small diamond, this was it. But, as noted, it was a wakeup call, and Valerie Cagle tossed a 1 hitter in the run ruled finale. And, of course, basketball. You knew at some point, we were going to have a Brad Brownell game against a team we should have dominated. Not just beat, but DOMINATED. We owned the inside anytime we went in there with our big men, and yet, we couldn't be smart enough to figure out that's what we should have been doing, instead of hoisting treys. Maybe the whole team had the flu, something was shirley off. On to the next one, Wake did us a favor by losing as well, so we are still in the hunt for 4th place.

Prayers for all who need them, I will be sending several up in Gods House this morning as well. In Jesus name, always, I pray,

I do a lot of resting most days.
Sometimes I do some yard work or wash the car. Enjoy the day.
