and he couldn’t believe it since he knew Frank, Danny & Dabo.

Saw him at a Wake for a mutual GT Friend in HHI. He’s a great fellow and knows a lot of people in the football world.

As you may know Bill was an asst coach at Bama when Dabo was a player and was HC @ Bama, KY and Ga State of which FB program he started..as well as being a NFL player & coach.

Heard Bill on Mike and Mike many years ago and he gave this tidbit of wisdom

LBB Curry was never an assistant at Bama, just the HC. He was 0-3 against Auburn and Pat Dye, including the first Iron Bowl played at Auburn in ‘89. They threw a brick through his window and he left for KY. Another first for him that I could remember is he kind of helped start the whole weather delay and postponement stuff by not traveling to A&M ahead of Hurricane Gilbert, which never ended up hitting that far inland. He was way too good a man to put up with Bama fans and he spoke at my high school sports banquet in 1980 while coaching GT.

Great pic Bill!

I really only remember him as a play-by-play CFB analyst. I can still hear his voice crystal-clear in my head, so he must have made an impression.

LBB - Don't know you and never met you. And I have a minute to go before I'm 82. But, gotta tell ya, I hope I look as healthy as you when I am there. Thanks for sharing the pics you've been sharing.
