Top 7 verses ranked opponent.

Did a little research just to find out how many ranked opponents the top 7 in the CFP rankings played to date. The reason I did this was because of the media bias and people whom I have heard say that Clemson does not belong where they are in the CFP rankings.
Ranking Number of Ranked opponents No longer ranked
1 Tennessee 2) LSU, Alabama Pitt, Kentucky, Florida
2 Ohio State 1) Penn State Notre Dame
3 UGA 1) Oregon
4 Clemson 3) Wake, NC State, Syracuse
5 Michigan 1) Penn State
6 Alabama 1) Tennessee (which they lost) Arkansas, Mississippi State
7 TCU 2) Oklahoma State, Kansas State Oklahoma, Kansas
As you notice the teams in the no longer ranked column we ranked when the teams played them. Does that really mean they were really a top 25 team to begin with?
As you can see Clemson has the most wins agains top 25 teams which was 3. Bama Has 0 since they lost to Tennessee.
My point is that Clemson Belongs where it is in the first CFP rankings. As other teams play and get booted out, (Which they will), and the tigers continue winnin, (by 1 or 100, it doesn't matter), They deserve to and will be in the College Football Playoff.
Disclamer: Some of the above teams still have games against top 25 teams. In the next 4 week these rankings will Change and we will know who deserves to be in the playoffs.

I tried to edit but didn't know how. The second number in line is how may top top 25 teams each team has played and the names of those teams follow. The other teams mention in the line are the ones that are no longer in the top 25

Clemson has beaten 3 currently ranked teams
Tennessee has beaten 2
TCU has beaten 2
UGA has beaten 1
Oh St has beaten 1
Mich has beaten 1
Bama has beaten none

According to that graph, it appears to me Clemson and TCU should be 1 and 2.

Based on the fact that these idiots would say the same thing for the sec teams if this was reversed. Say what you want about esecpn and how they lavish Clemson with praise. They will bring back the "c" word first chance they get.

But Tennessee has as many ranked wins as TCU. I'd give the number 2 nod to Tennessee easily

I think there are other subjective factors that cannot be quantified. This just puts things in a contect that you can see where the top teams separate themselves. I think TCU should be 5 but they have had to come back from multi-score deficits and they have a Big-12 defense so that could be the discriminator in the room, Michigan has a better looking D.

I td'd you because you didn't acknowledge that many many many words typed here get autocorrected without being noticed. Grammar? Fine fire away when you find errors but in this day and age words are difficult to get right when they are changed by big brother

YES, at this moment Clemson has beaten 3 currently ranked teams (btw Bama has beaten 1 not 0 in Texas).
two things:
1. right, wrong, or indifferent the committee doesn't use ONLY resume. They use metrics, SOS, SOR, "eye test", resume, etc.....and it varies person to person on how much weight each put on that.
2. Our "ranked resume" is very likely to look completely different over the next few weeks......as will everyone else's.............just sayin' don't put SO MUCH emphasis on our resume justifying our position when it could change and there won't be "a leg to stand on", except undefeated, if that's what we are.
3. There were a couple years during our 2015-2019 run where our RESUME sucked compared to the top 5-7 teams, BUT we DESTROYED our competition and left no doubt. One of the reasons most believe we MUST win out to get in the playoffs this year is b/c we don't have the "eye test" to go with our resume..............same reason why Bama is at 6 right now and not higher

when all the so-called expert's "eye tests" were saying Bama was the greatest team of all time, with the greatest defense of all-time! Then 44-16 happened, and the only ones saying our 2018 team was the greatest of all time were us dummies on Tigernet!
