Tough weekend for Clemson sports!

I was excited to start the weekend and was hoping to see the softball team get back on track against a great Duke team and the baseball team sweep Nancy Tate. It didn’t play out that way. I watched every game in softball and baseball and disappointment was the norm. I also noticed as other scores from other obscure sports rolled into espn ocho. I couldn’t resist the dodgeball reference. In all seriousness, this weekend just wasn’t ours. Thankfully, this was an anomaly and we should be back to our winning ways in no time.

I remember the days of youth when football and basketball were the only sports I cared about. As an older man, any sport that wears the paw brings me joy to see they won.

Some moronicus maximus poasted last week that the ladies were having attitude issues because softball players date "each other" and it causes friction, backbiting and thus ruins team chemistry. Using this same goofy logic then, I am assuming the dude who poasted that thinks the baseball team have now begun to date each other, thus ruining team chemistry?

Pretty funny stuff! I have no theories about any of that. I have noticed one of the girls does date another on the staff. We just aren’t as deep as we were in previous years.

I believe the ladies are close to putting it all together. I did notice some situational coaching errors. One out and a runner on third and the coach allows a 0.079 batter to swing the bat which killed the rally and stranded the tying run 60 feet away.

Our baseball woes seem to be directly related to our lack of elite pitching. Starters and bullpen alike are not championship level. It’s kinda been our Achilles heel for a while. We do great in season because we rarely face that elite ace with a 1.00 ERA. In the regionals and supers we are seeing elite MLB future all-star pitchers that shut our hot bats down. Look at how far Wake fell off after losing their star pitcher with the impressive hair. I believe if we have a pitcher that finally gets it we can make a run to Omaha

actually last night we are starting pitcher did well pitched to contact but our his team did not back him up ergo 4 errors which cost us the game. In the last two games a lone we have 7 errors. Now we are sorely missing our Saturday starting pitching and that is starting to put strain on the bullpen. But last two games we have committed 7 errors and 6 of Fridays runs were unearned. I pretty sure a lest 2 of last nights were unearned. You not wrong but last night it was our defense that cost us that and bad at plate apperances.
