Transfers are generally more ahead of the game vs a high schooler

physically & mentally along with understanding the game a bit better, learning a playbook faster as well being able to compensate for the increased speed of the game.

Saying, the NCAA has fumbled this matter
terribly and only had to keep the rule of a player sitting out a year b/4 competing again..

which of course is tough on him for many reasons too but would prevent the Willy-Nilly army of blatant transfers.

What’s your thoughts and recommendations.

The NCAA should have gone back to the original transfer rules as soon as it became apparent that NIL was nothing more than pay-to-play.

I believe if the NCAA wishes to become a semi-professional team, then, they should have rules for free agency transfers. I think the new landing site school should pay the losing school a million per player to compensate them for the high school film evaluation, the meals, dorm expenses and training. So, let us consider a team like FSU. It will not be allowed to just go in and cherry pick out the best CB from Virginia or a great WR from Michigan State and pay only the player. FSU should be billed by the NCAA for taking players from other teams and the money be sent back to the team who loses the player. And, perhaps the losing team should be allowed to pick a player off FSU.

If they are in fact going to allow the pay for play, then the players essentially become professionals athletes, and thus are required to sign a contract. Just like in all professional sports you are not eligible to become a free agent and move around at ones on fruition until your rookie contract is up. I would say players should start signing contracts, not for all 4 years but the contract should at least be a 2 year agreement between the person offering the NIL money and player. Any breech of contract/transfer before the agreement ends results in a 1 year loss of eligibility and sitting out for a year.
