Two Clemson signees have impressed at this week's Polynesian Bowl practices in Hawaii, according to 247Sports, with Christian Bentancur (summer enrollee) and Elyjah Thurmon (mid-year):
"Bentancur had one of the plays of the day with an in-traffic one handed grab. It was even more impressive considering he’s a lefty and he hauled the pass in with his right hand. The future Tiger is a smooth, fluid athlete who catches everything and runs well after the catch. He has an athletic frame and like we love to always point out when applicable, has the multi-sport background we like as a high end hooper."
"Thurmon has some of the best feet in this group. He’s a likely interior lineman at the next level but took reps at tackle today and was dominant in his wins. He plays with advanced technique, showed a strong punch and was very good moving laterally. One of the line coaches on his team said his pass sets were, 'teaching-tape worthy.' He’s a talented basketball player as well and looks like a potential under the radar steal for the Tigers."
