Absolutely wrong if you look at actual time in presidency. 400k in Trumps last year with 7% repeat offenders vs Bidens first year of 1.6mil and 26% repeat offenders. All time record of immigration on record is under Biden of 2.2mil, this dont include the million got-aways not on record. Largest fiasco of any president and how many billions do you think these free democratic votes have cost all the Americans along with strain on healthcare, schools, welfare, etc. Anyone that dont see this crisis is blind.

Trump's last year was the Covid year when the world shut down. Why did border crossings triple in 2019 from where they had been the 8 previous years if DADDY had the border "under control"?

Ok several things here, yes, border apprehensions did increase in 2019. Still nowhere near the numbers in 2021, 2022, 2023, and now 2024. Record numbers have happened every single year of the Biden administration. Almost 2 million a year.
Let’s look at why there was a spike in 2019. At the end of 2018 the Trump administration ended the family separation policy. Which I’ll give you I kind of disagreed with family separation but it definitely deterred people from illegally crossing the border.
So, once that policy was ended families heard about it and headed for the border. If you look at the statistics the majority of encounters in 2019 were family units.
Next, and I believe this is the most important, the remain in Mexico policy was still in effect during the Trump administration. Which means the majority of the encounters and apprehensions at the border did not lead to illegals awaiting asylum hearings in America but in Mexico.
The Biden administration repealed the remain in Mexico policy and is busing and flying illegal immigrants all over the country, on the taxpayer dollar, and releasing them into “migrant facilities” aka community centers and hotels. Most of which will never attend their hearing.

But they never mention what they've failed to do. And they all talk as if they have the unilateral power to achieve all of their goals (when most accomplishments come from bills passed in Congress).

I can overlook that especially when we just witnessed such a conciliatory tone and the respect he showed the Supreme Court members in attendance.
That was pure class. I haven’t witnessed such class at a State of the Union address since Pelosi ripped up Trump’s speech.
