UNC has a transfer waiver denied

UNC will not have Biletnikoff Award watch list member Tez Walker after an NCAA denial of his transfer waiver.

UNC says it is appealing the decision. He committed to the Tar Heels in December.

He was a first-team All-MAC member at Kent State last season.

FSU had a similar denial decision with defensive tackle Darrell Jackson announced on Tuesday.

I hope kids see these denials. Maybe will slow down these knee-jerk transfers. Plus in the long run, this is better for them as a fairly large percentage are not finding new schools to take them.

Lyn J is a good example of transferring and never playing a down again. After his second transfer, he found himself in the hoosegow.

In NCAA history unscathed then this is just a pebble on the highway to his being cleared in time for the Clemson game.
