Correct. This isn't about a letter. Tricky Nikki kicked her off the BOT and replaced her with a lawyer that donated to her gubernatorial campaign. McMaster was a heavy influencer for our former President Caslen. Moore was very outspoken in her opposition to him, and was very unhappy with the process to hire him. This letter fiasco happened under Caslen...then he had to resign bc he showed up drunk to a commencement speech.
This has been festering for a while. We seem to have kissed and made up though.

And trying to add some insider knowledge of it.
We (Clemson) have a research department that reads the news headlines for articles or events of prominent people affiliated with the school. That is then published and sent out daily to certain staff members. But in this instance, Darla's daughter called high ranked person at Clemson to say what happened because that person had an existing relationship with Darla and the daughter. Darla was already annoyed at USC because of the Caslen thing, like you said. But unlike most cases like this when our research department found an obit or something like that, this time it was a personal call from a family member to let us know. That's how we were so quick to offer condolences, the same night instead of a couple days later if it was based on a newspaper obit.

Good info. Still hard to believe a woman with her name on the business school, that had given $75M to the school, would issue such a public statement attacking it. The whole thing was strange. But I guess when you have F you money you just don't really care.
