usc Game loss by offense

Nov 25, 2012, 7:20 PM

Everyone is complaining about the defense. The defense did not lose this game. The offense had numerous problems. Morris and Boyd both lost control of the offense. The wide receivers were horrible. No help for tackle Brandon Thomas. Game plan completely out the window by second quarter. Defense on field too long. Put the blame on the offense.

It was both the offense and defense' fault. Although we didn't get a lot of points, coots gameplan was to eat up clock and keep the ball away from our offense moreso than to rack up a bunch of points. They did exactly what they wanted to do, our defense could not stop them on 3rd downs.

Offensively, we just sputtered and died pretty much after Nuk's TD. Playcalling wasn't good IMO, where were the screens and slants and short stuff to Watkins and Nuk that have worked all year?

Yeah I did. They didn't play well enough to win but neither did the defense.

I completely agree......this game wasn't the D's fought...yeah they gave up some chunk yardage on 3rd downs, but they played their hearts out. The offense didn't play with nearly as much heart. The offense proved early that we could hang with them and I truly thought we would put into a two score situation for SC pretty quickly. This one is all on the "O". I hope they don't just say to h*** with our bowl game. I'd like to see them come together one last game and play as a team for once all together!

The offense can't work when it's on the sidelines.
