There is a Clemson fan named Phil Fuentes who lives in Louisiana who is also an Air Force veteran. He has cancer, but was hoping to make it for Military Appreciation Day last week. Unfortunately, his cancer has spread and he was unable to make it. I heard from his son this morning, who said, "I am hoping for a little Clemson magic for dad, one last time, so he can see the Tigers a final time."
It's gut-wrenching to hear that. IPTAY came through for me and got them tickets in the ADA section, and I've let some other people know and they've sent me a little money through Venmo to make sure they have gas, hotel and food money. A few people have invited them to tailgate, so it's all coming together. The Clemson family truly is special.
I hope he makes it and tailgates, sees Tiger Walk, and a big Tiger win. If anyone else has any ideas how to make this special let me know.
