happen? If Clemson DID finally can BB in the interest of actually making the program better, would you and your sandbox buddies take your toys and follow BB wherever he wound up? (And that's a big leap, thinking he would wind up at any other major school.) Shirley you could not hang around here and actually support a new coach, as blind and as long as your devotion has been to a coach that doesn't really deserve it.

I don't think he gets fired but, if he goes 0 for his next 2 games, I'd put it at 60/40 odds he returns next year. Sentiment has definitely turned and there is nothing he'll be able to sell to Neff about next season before a decision has to be made. We are returning less than 35% of our offense next season. He's only returned less than 50% of his offense twice. That was '12-'13 where we finished 13-18 11th (of 12) in ACC and '19-'20 where we finished 16-15 9th(of 13) in the ACC. Neff may be willing to let him ride or give him a short extension with little to no increase in buyout but Brad may choose to move on at that point.

I don't expect him to "do the right thing". He has two years left on his contract. If he is fired before 5/1 of this year he gets $2 million. If he is fired before 5/1/25, he gets $1.5 million. His salary jumps to $3 million base pay annually starting 5/1/24. There is no point calculating mid year buyouts since there is no chance he gets fired mid-season. If Neff can hold the line on these buyouts Brad may opt to take a mid-major jump with higher total guaranteed compensation. I do think there will be programs willing to bring him in.
