It's in our best interest to stay in the ACC. He said we would go to the playoffs every year but would seldom go in the Big Ten.

Clemson would be a virtual lock every year they won the conf. We would have been the 3 seed this past year under that same formula. Clemson is fine from a playoff perspective - the reason it is considering leaving is $ - that’s it

Yes and that DJ could have been been one of the best Clemson quarterbacks of all time if not for a bad O Line, bad WRs, etc, etc…..

Walt is awful....so we stay in the ACC making 50 mil less per year then get drubbed in the first round against OSU, BAMA, UGA, etc.
Money talks and if we want to stay relevant we need a seat at the expansion table. I hate it buts its reality.

mich, ohio state, penn state, fsu and us in no particular order. plus you would have to assume our recruiting could get better with more cash and being able to sell playing against those four teams

Don't forget USC and Oregon in that upper echelon. It would be even bit as hard to win as the SEC. But a top 3 finish probably gets you in

How we'd become a mid-major without the ability to keep up with the big two. Walt wors for the ACC. he gives the soft interviews like Pack does now. They know who signs the checks.

Walt is stuck in 2012. Yeah when this conference realignment stuff was happening back then everyone knew then that it was still in our best interest to stay in the ACC. Well now it is abundantly clear to get out or get left behind. 10 mil a year wasn’t a large enough deficit to overcome. 50 mil a year is.
Will it be harder? Yeah. But with a 12 team playoff and more than likely an even larger expanded field in the future you can have a couple losses and still get in if we are in the SEC or B1G. The ACC will become a group of 5 conference.

I really "want" to like Walt because I enjoy listening to football talk on the drive home. However, he's trying hard to convince me otherwise.
Yesterday (07-31-23) was a great example. I heard a portion of his discussion with Morgan Thomas. Walt just comes across as arrogant and demeaning when he disagrees with someone. I think it's borderline bullying, with the way he interrupts them.
