I expected the coaching world to learn from Mario Cristobal. There was zero reason to run a play instead of take a knee on that 3rd down. Now DeBoer nearly lost the game and likely lost their #1 RB for the national championship game.

Both of the games yesterday were entertaining but for the worst reasons. If Alabama could execute a shotgun snap, that game gets put away. DeBoer ran clock the entire second half except when it mattered. I didn't understand either 3rd down call, the pass prior to the FG and the handoff instead of taking a knee.

Not only that, the QB threw the ball away to save 5 yards for a field goal try.

Their experienced QB should have know to go down inbounds if the throw wasn't there.

I think it was 3 straight incompletions when they should have been taking time off the clock.
