With a final score of 49-10, yes, we cover.

That says a lot about the ACC when the best team in the conference is favored by 30+ points against the second best team in the conference.

Yep. Big time. It also goes to show why it didnt matter whether Wake was ranked or not. There is only 1 good team in the ACC and nobody knows how good we are because we dont play anyone. As a matter of fact, I dont even know how good our D is because we dont play anyone.

Our D routinely shuts down teams that score a ton of points...

Take BC for instance....they have put up 30 +, even in losses, lately hitting the 40s and 50s...only held in the 20s a couple of times.

Against us they get 7.

FSU has put up plenty of points this year...but then they ran into us. 14...some against our second/third unit.

Even Texas A&M can be considered here...they got in the 20s against Auburn & Bama...got 10 against us (after calling TOs with 6 seconds left against our second unit)

What I see is that we are doing on defense what we did last year, our starters are dominating and our depth is getting plenty of PT to improve. Last year it ended by doing to two teams in the playoffs exactly what we did to the rest of our schedule.

The only difference is that the secondary is better this season...which is why I don’t expect
any more ‘outliers’ like the SCAR game last year.

I think we have faced some good offenses and our D has been exceptional.
On the other hand, I’m not sure we have faced a reasonable defense. But that’s another question.
