Yeah we really don't appear to... the team has moxie and can hit very well in spells but against other top 10-15 teams we absolutely can't hang pitching wise with the way it's gone lately. The problem is there are some crazy good arms on other teams in the top 10.

We don’t and it’s painfully obvious.
As bad as I have to admit it… if we meet an SEC team or really any team with elite pitching we’re in huge trouble.
As you said… we just don’t have the pitching and I honestly don’t think we’ll even make it out of a regional.
You can’t constantly depend on coming from behind and scoring 9/10/11 runs to win. It just ain’t going to happen in the tournament.
Even if they come back to win today.. it doesn’t change these unfortunate facts.

I’d say knaak honestly… we have nowhere near the arms to match up with the top 10… if we get lucky with a good draw in the regional we may make it through but this team has no hopes of Omaha pitching like we do out of the pen and the sloppy crap we do in the field. We won’t score 8-10 runs against some of these better teams we will face.

I’m not going to agree with you as Bakich stated multiple times weeks before the start of the season he had everything needed to get this team to Omaha. So I’m planning on going to Omaha, not having another #2 seed in a Regional dogpile on our pitcher’s mound on a Sunday night

Yea not a single guy we send out there out of the pen gives me confidence, really not even Gordon at this point… he’s got some saves but still gives up runs and very hard contact… we don’t have a single guy with any type of velo or we have confidence in in a big spot in a tight Regina game imo.

Agree to an extent. We also thought our weekend rotation would be Gordon, Tallent, and Smith. Had that proven correct, we would have enough to make a deep run.
Smith hasn't had a good outing since he came back. Tallent-Mia. Darden had a good start. Clayton is way too predictable. Same as Clayton, garris groves too many.

I’m not sure what you mean but have you not watched a game the last couple weeks ?! Yes we still have a great record but the fielding mistakes or bone headed and keep happening… ever since cuifo went out this team seems lost. And offensively we still do enough to overcome that but throw in a bullpen that consistently gives up runs and leads and it’s not a good combo. I also understand it’s baseball and the ebs and flows happen but the bullpen needs to remove their heads out of their A$$ before the post season is all I’m saying, they have been bad… if you wanna just beat your chest and talk about the first 30 games sure go ahead, but you are blind if you don’t see the issues with this team the last couple weeks now. Again it can maybe get fixed but unfortunately I think we are just what we are in the pen… we will have to rely on the bats to win big games and I don’t see that when we are facing a lot better pitching in the tourney.

Agree, this is the point in the season where average pitching is exposed & that’s where this program has been for a long time.

Anyone hearing Smith may have re-aggravated the ankle/foot injury? Knaak won’t be pitching tomorrow so I guess that puts his overall arm health into question.
