Website for ranking of Schools based on NIL $$s

Dec 20, 2022, 11:50 AM

Is there something along these lines?

It is getting increasingly hard to judge where recruits will land !! Recruits have become smart. Factors such as coaching, playing time, geography have become secondary. NIL ranks #1 in the hierarchy of choices. Overlaying this NIL ranking with other factors and creating a new composite is best way to predict where stars align !!

Your thoughts please...

Not sure how you can accurately report which school has the biggest dark $$$ assistance in buying players. You can make anecdotal judgments. Miami dark $ seems to be flowing among others. The only thing that can be confirmed is that it is 100% happening with plenty of unfettered tampering to go along with it.

So, I'm with those who say the Portal and NIL have been done terribly. Dont know what could have been done better, but it is bad for all concerned. So what does the future look like?

A team cannot keep but so many prima donnas in any given year. There are also going to be a few who are convinced they have more talent than they do and will move about for most of the period of eligibility. But what surprises me is how little portal transfer we have experienced. Most of our guys stick with us and those (collectively) who haven't seem to have not faired so well.

I know we want a team that is at least 3 deep on both sides with 5*s. I think we might do well to keep a solid group of 4*s and go after the 5*s who seem to fit the culture. The consistency this would provide will be hard to beat. Those 4*s who want to play on Sundays but know they need development can become a force to be reckoned with and since their NIL hopes cannot be as great as the 5*s sees us able to compete for their recruiting. I'll add also the obvious that most of those prima donnas I was referring to stand to bring as much drama as they do talent and that does nothing to help a team.

If we didnt have Dabo as a coach, I would be more concerned, but he brought us to some pretty lofty heights and started with not much at all. He has unique abilities that will serve us well through the transition into a better ordered portal and NIL process.

What I would have said:

USC (the real one)
Texas
Texas A&M
Miami
Tennessee

But then I found this and it changed perception:
