Remember when many said Humpries was the kid we offered to

Jun 3, 2015, 2:10 PM

get 5 star C Peake to come to Clemson..
I'm not knocking anybody, but it is ironic that Adam is on an NFL team and we are still waiting on that decent and consistent season from Peake.
Here's hoping both guys blow it up this year for their respective teams!

Went to school with both of them. Hate that Charone has been hurt because he has round 1 talent. Sub 4.4 speed and great hands. He just needs that knee to hold up. Played pick up basketball with Adam a few times and the kid can play ball.

On another note isn't this the same with when we were recruiting nkemdiche and picked up Gallman. People said it was only for Robert but the coaches knew what they were doing with offering Wayne.

Not to mention Ryan Carter***

Well, DUHHHH, Gallman was a 4-star RB, the entire nation

knew he could play. Ryan Carter on the otherhand has no business being on a P5 roster as a scholarship player.

Are you talking about the same Ryan Carter that is currently sitting 2nd string on our Depth Chart at CB? Over some "bigger" recruits?

Yes and he is right Carter will never get serious PT at Clemson unless we have a ton of injuries. That pick up still has me shaking my head.

So the guy has outplayed "better" recruits to take the #2 spot of the depth chart and picking him up has you shaking your head?

We didn't even accept Ryan Carter's NLI until Nkimdiche signed his to Ole Miss

Brad Brownell: more losses than any other coach in school history.

Carter's a hard-hitting, fast, physical CB & Excellent run stopper (Venable's favorite kind)

Coaches like this kid. Can cover too. 2nd team guy our coaches trust, who will see plenty of action this year.

I really dont. Not saying people didnt say that but I am drawing a blank on his recruitment

What other schools offered Adam?

Jun 3, 2015, 4:21 PM

I don't remember. Were we his only D1 offer?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I think he was being recruited by several schools but that

Jun 3, 2015, 4:35 PM

Clemson was his only offer.I found this on rivals.com. http://sports.yahoo.com/footballrecruiting/football/recruiting/player-Adam-Humphries-114794

That could only mean that he worked his way into a spot and took full advantage of it. Good for Adam!!!

Sure do but none of them remember saying it now.

Anybody could tell that Adam was a competitor by watching ANY of his film.

wrong hand against coots ('13?) and had it stripped? Many crucified him (including myself) for that miscue. I hope he has a chance at a long nfl career. Many blamed him solely for that loss but it was mostly Boyd (and coaching)

Let's see if he can at least make a practice squad when the season begins before getting all giggly poo. Happy for the kid. He's made it closer than most so far.

Fact is both Carter and Hump were both throw ins who panned out. Doesn't change why they were initially offered......
