For Those Feeling Badly For Streeter...

Jan 12, 2023, 7:13 PM

He was associated with the Clemson program for fifteen years and had every opportunity to prove himself at his latest position. I'm sure he'll land on his feet at some other program. No doubt about it. Welcome to coach Riley and GooooooTigers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He also gets $1.8 million for his trouble.

Man, they make out well when their let go. Frost of Nebraska got a lot more. Always amazed.

I feel like timing was just bad for him....

Elliott/Scott got to ride the wave of some generational QBs. Seemed like the offense with that same scheme and players actually took a step forward with him this year versus last. Problem is, we just needed a fresh scheme

I agree. I was never impressed with our scheme under Scott/Elliot.

It was the talent on offense out-athleting the other teams plus the defense.

and I don't know that anything that happened last year or this year was Streeter's fault, but coaches are paid to win games and when you aren't winning enough then going out and hiring better coaches is one way to get back to where you want to be.

Riley sounds like an upgrade even though I hate to have a coach fired.

I am a tremendous fan of Brandon. Now I'm not saying Dabo didn't make the right move as time will tell. I just have tremendous respect for Streeter as a player and coach. He played against FSU after dislocating his hip a week before. He manned up to help save some people in car wreck when it wasn't his job to do that. He is a quality man and a Clemson man. That said the O just never clicked this year. I hope the new hire works out. TCU was underwhelming Monday night but overall they had a year we wish we had

One of the toughest guys to suit up for Clemson.
