Watching the Ohio State-Georgia Peach Bowl, and somehow the Clemson-Ohio State Fiesta Bowl in 2019 was brought up.
Chris Fowler decided to label it as, “the controversial one”. ESPN really is quick to take stabs at Clemson. And ride Ohio St.
Just didn’t think this should go unnoticed

Only thing controversial I remember was the Ross play where he was ruled to not have fumbled.
Certainly wasn't controversial how we went down the length of the field in four plays for the winning TD, nor was the game sealing interception in their end zone.

That play, if not called back would have changed the game. Good or bad, I'd say that could be defined as controversial.
Quit getting hurt over comments. This world these days, it seems anything someone says get turned into an affront or a conspiracy theory.
We all need to stop watching tv. especially tv "media".

put the ball in the end zone, eliminated turnovers, and been able to stop the Clemson offense, the game may not have come down to that.
Either way, they lost and there was nothing controversial about that.

I think the point he was trying to make is ESPN talking heads wouldn’t have brought up that as controversial if the roles were reversed and OSU won in the same way.

I forget the year, but Gameday was in town. The stage was set up and the bus was parked just off to the side on bowman on the grass, just off the road. It was Friday night and Fowler was doing the evening ESPN news live on Bowman. After the telecast, I was standing there all alone next to the bus. Fowler approached me as he was going on the bus. I extended my hand out to shake his and thank them for coming here and as we did, I asked him why after all these years he still always calls us CLEMZON. He looked at me as serious as a heart attack and said, “Just to #### you guys off” and walked onto the bus.
