What I do not understand from Duke and USux is

that both seemed to drop their LBs back a lot, cutting off intermediate routes. Consequently we ran well between the tackles...then we get cutesy. I know Danny Ford was a long time ago but he always said he'd run a play until they stopped it. In our case, LBs would have to have been more honest. No excuse for fumbles and drops. Maybe we need a new psychologist or WR coach?

That drives me crazy when we run and run at them and they can't stop it and then we run some ridiculous double reverse pass that gets intercepted.

Good observation. But at some point the OL will miss a block, RB misses a gap, or defense just makes a play and we are going to be faced with 3rd and long and can't run the ball anymore.

I think the formula to beat us is to make us beat ourselves. We haven't shown we can take the top off of any defense so nobody really respects that. It forces us to put together long methodical drives, which has proven difficult for us without turning the ball over. It starts with mistake-free football, which leads to complimentary football, which leads to us looking how we did in the 2nd half against CSU.

We need to stop fumbling and throwing interceptions and give good things a chance to happen. Our WR coach has nothing to do with fumbles or line breakdowns leading to bad throws and interceptions.
