What I learned from Baseball T-net last night.

Last night I learned from Baseball T-net the following:

1) Our pitchers can't pitch and we would be better off dumping the whole staff and accepting walk ons.
2) Our hitters are completely inept at hitting good pitching. This of course based on the 5 games we lost this season.
3) Our 28-5 record is just luck and really shouldn't be that good
4) Our base running and fielding have really taken a step back in the last 15 minutes
5) Our coaches had better not get to comfortable because most of them are already on the hot seat
6) Hot dogs are still the best ballpark concessions option.

What you learned and what reality is are very different things indeed. Sure, we lack an elite starter and shutdown closer. Can one or two of the guys in rotation develop into elite pitching? Of course.

Our hitting IS elite. Elite pitching trumps great hitting every time. From top to bottom our guys all have over .300 obp with many over .400 obp. That’s not bad or spotty at all. Our run production is close to tops in the nation.

I have also been concerned that our pitching staff isn’t strong enough to run through the regionals and the CWS. We’re about the same team we were last year. Great hitters that feed off one another and never feel they’re out of a game. We saw what elite pitching did to us in the regionals last year. Our double digit run production dropped to single digits. Our pitchers couldn’t hold the lead.

I know I’m responding to a troll trying to bring the mighty Tigers down a notch. That’s okay. You’ll never be a Tiger. Your chickens would be an extinct species if they weren’t so delicious and domesticated over 1000 years ago. It’s your intellect. That’s okay too, the world needs stupid chickens for delicious dinners and our in state ginger step brother we take our frustrations out on from time to time.

You are wrong about me. The post was total and complete sarcasm. There is absolutely nothing wrong with Tiger baseball.

Don't forget, when we are winning you never see them post. They would rather make posts about dawn Staley and Brad brownell instead of supporting this team. Several times this year I'll see maybe three posts about baseball DURING A GAME.

Yep. All the ridiculous hot takes last night sent me over the edge and instead of tuning out I went down the rabbit hole.
