a Terry Allen type who can take it to the house AND catch it out of the backfield would be lethal on the check down. Zak Brooks IS that kid, as far as i'm concerned and why that's not in our playbook more is beyond my comprehension. I've never been able to buy into an offense that is virtually solely to the WR's. Our TE's are open a lot but Tajh locks into the first option so often. Do the math...if you have 5 eligible receivers and the ball goes to a double or triple covered guy, there has to be someone single covered. The backs out of the backfield, after they chip block, should slide out to a checkdown for some positive yards. It's blows my mind that AE is suddenly a receiving threat for Arizona but he barely caught a #### ball at Clemson.

I'm no coach, but I have to disagree. In my humble opinion, CJ Davidson has looked like our top back all year, just based on what little I saw. He has great vision, wicked cuts, willingness to go inside, and great speed. I realize that his pass blocking may be lacking, but at this point, maybe that's not such a bad thing because maybe we shouldn't be throwing it quite as much anyway?
