What's in the water in Syracuse?

Jan 30, 2014, 10:42 AM

First, their players claimed that we couldn't handle the heat and noise of the Carrier Dome. They also claimed that their 10 was better than Tajh. You also have their idiotic coaches, one who spews profanity when his team is getting blown out, but refers to the south as "softnosed" for letting snow shut airports down. The other one is still looking for that Denny's in Clemson. Now, they've got this article on Dukies flopping. Sounds great, except the picture and example they use is Greg Paulus, a Syracuse native who played QB for the Syracuse football team for a season after his Duke eligibility ran out. Bash Duke and their flopping, but don't forget that one of the king floppers played FOOTBALL at "hardnosed" Syracuse. Not the smartest group up there http://www.syracuse.com/axeman/index.ssf/2014/01/10_things_we_hate_about_duke_n.html

I'm going to enjoy crushing them for years to come

This fall they'll learn what a real FB stadium looks and sounds like.

they probably feel this way about us in hoops too.

Unfortunately for them College bball is second fiddle

they probably draw about as many for hoops per game there as they do for football though

badge-donor-05yr.jpgringofhonor-74tiger.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Hey. When those keys get jingling in that dome, it is LOUD.

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Cowbells are just noisy

Jan 30, 2014, 5:25 PM

The keys also show it's a "key play"

I just can't figure out how they can stand to hold those metal keys in that E-Z Bake oven they call a dome. Did you hear it gets hot in there?

Re: What's in the water in Syracuse?

Jan 30, 2014, 10:47 AM

It's pretty simple, they are yankees.

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

As too is BC, but they are a lot better people.

Jan 30, 2014, 11:02 AM

BC has also beaten us a few times, and has earned a right to talk smack, yet do not. Instead, they initiate an annual trophy for the games we play.

Re: What's in the water in Syracuse?

Jan 30, 2014, 11:13 AM

You hit the nail on the head! They are clueless and classless. I've had a running feud with them and some of their sites over just the items you mentioned and more. The way to solve this is to put up 70 or more on them this year and then have Dabo tell their dumb a$$ coach that when they shut up, we'll stop pounding them into next week. I was there for the game last October and their smack talk and big talk was unbelievable for a team that couldn't back any of it up!!

I hate to share this link and give them views, but look what they think of Dabo. They made an idiots award named after him. They're my least favorite school in the ACC at this point.

Re: What's in the water in Syracuse?

Jan 30, 2014, 11:33 AM

I forgot to mention what you pointed out! Thanks. What a freakin joke they are. Talk about being delusional!!!They had talk on their site that they might sweep ND, FSU, and Us this year!!!. I promptly told them to put their money where their big mouths were! Never heard a peep.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

They might beat ND, doubt it but ND is

Jan 30, 2014, 11:35 AM

always overrated so it could happen. Syracuse did play well against Minnesota in the bowl game.

But as for them beating us and/or FSU next season, HAHAHHAHAHAHAHA1!!!1111!11!!

Jan 30, 2014, 11:37 AM [ in reply to Re: What's in the water in Syracuse? ]

They are trying so hard to manufacture a rivalry with someone/anyone because they don't really have one anymore. They are like NC State with funny accents and bad manners. A minor irritant but no significant threat to us in any way.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I've got another type of DABO to add to his list

Jan 30, 2014, 1:47 PM [ in reply to Re: What's in the water in Syracuse? ]

If you're a coach who heard a clearly inferior football team talk trash about your team all week, and you took your team up there and laid an absolute ### whipping on said inferior team at their own homecoming game that they had to use Groupon to sell tickets for, then you, are a DABO

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Dook basketball is hated because they are successful

Jan 30, 2014, 11:29 AM

Syracuse football is hated because their coach talks too much

I only wish we were playing them at home first weekend in September. Let's see how "hard-nosed" you are big mouth when field temp is 110 and you can't breath and your football team looks like LSU, part 2

badge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

They're northerners, should you expect anything less

than arrogance and rudeness?

Well I'm originally from there but been here and loved it every day for over 20 years. Your 2 adjectives to describe them are right on!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Different culture up there, always has been. Big reason

Jan 30, 2014, 11:37 AM

for the civil war. Not all northerners are like that, and not all southerners are courteous and hospitable, but stereotypes are stereotypes for a reason

You are so right! Really is a shame because parts of that part of the country are beautiful but boy do those people spoil it. So obnoxious, clueless, and delusional when it comes to football! We belong here and have never been so happy and to think we get a chance to go see THE TIGERS play is a blessing and gift in and of itself!

GOO TIGERS

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

They need to pace themselves. So far they've created

Jan 30, 2014, 1:12 PM

a "DABO" award, called one of the top recruiting places as soft-nosed, and a top-10 list for Duke in year one. Poor things are setting themselves up for an ACC life of misery

I'm not bent out of shape at all. I just feel bad for them

I would agree

When we beat Cuse in the NIT a few years ago, I recall

Jan 30, 2014, 3:28 PM [ in reply to Boeheim is a first rate arsehole and he's really salty about ]

Boeheim being very complimentary of the Littlejohn atmosphere and our program and suggesting that some sort of ongoing series be worked out.

Well, now he has his wish anyway.

F those commie yankees and their dirty water

Jan 30, 2014, 3:51 PM

If you've never been up there, you aren't missing anything! It resembles dumplumbia in many ways. The people are snarky unless you're one of them. They have a bbq place that sells... well it ain't bbq I'll say that. All the rivers and ponds are pretty much toxic waste dumps. They have signs posted everywhere advising folks not to bathe, swim, or fish the waters. I still put a pole in the water though and caught me a three eyed fish that glows in the dark.

One last thing: Otto and Scott Shaffer are dbag tools who have no soul. My wish is that a legion of gingers relentlessly hunts them down and eliminates them. But as for Otto, I still have an axe to grind. This is by no means over. Your security goons can't always be there so now is the winter of your discontent!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I would say he's more second rate******

I lost the little respect for that University when the gave up their Orangemen name for policital correctness. That has to be the faggiest University in the country.
