What’s up with PA

I mean dang, Pittsburgh waiving a couple Tigers, Philadelphia waiving a couple Tigers. I’d love to know the reasons on all of them, Ngata and Wallace.

Ngata had some drops, at times didn't get separation and didn't fight that hard for contested catches. Sound familiar? I am hopeful he gets on the practice squad and gets a chance. I think that's likely if I believe the Philly beat writers.

Wallace did okay in past seasons but was never really a starter. Reed Blankenship came in as a UDFA last year and kicked butt and this year they drafted Sydney Brown out of Illinois (who has a good up-from-poverty story) who made a good first impression. Practice squad is possible but likely Wallace will move on.

Ngata going pro was a head scratcher for me. Just never seen it in him. Wish them both well going forward.

Ngata never exhibited the ability to consistently perform at a high level in college. Perhaps his plan was to "out of the blue" start performing at a higher level than he ever had before? In the NFL no less. Balsey move, and a head-scratcher indeed.

He had his degree and this was the deal he signed

Joseph Ngata, wide receiver
Ngata signed a three-year, $2,725,000 deal. He has been given a $30,000 signing bonus and $230,000 guaranteed. His annual salary is $908,333. In 2023, his base salary is $750,000. He also earns that $30,000 signing bonus and carries a cap hit of $760,000. His dead cap value is $230,000.

So he basically makes a quarter mil guaranteed. Even if he he is paid practice squad $ the weeks he’s not on the 53 (which my guess he will be at some point), practice squad players make $216k for 18 weeks. So no, he shouldn’t have stayed.

They elected Fetterman, so who knows.

It's a bipolar state.

For Ngata Eagles are only carrying four WR's but are carrying four Tight Ends in their offensive package - For K'Von Wallace the drafting of Sidney Brown and FA Ricks from Alabama outplayed K-Von as newcomers - both would be placed on developmental squad except K'von has been claimed off waivers by Cardinals.

Ngata wasn't particularly good in college so

it shouldn't be surprising that he's struggling to cut it at the NFL level.

Yeah, but he went to Clemson. You don't think.the conspiracy that people are out to get Clemson comes into play?

So nobody thought that was funny. It's ok I'll just laugh alone.

The team felt they had better options for their teams. It's the NFL. What's there to know?
