Listen to this absolute bullchit that is mainstream democrat these days (from a Univ of Cincinnati prof):
"Olivia, this is a solid proposal," the feedback read. "However, the terms "biological women" are exclusionary and are not allowed in this course as they further reinforce heteronormativity. Please reassess your topic and edit it to focus on women’s rights (not just "females") and I’ll regrade.
Writing the phrase ‘biological woman’ is OFF LIMITS in this prof’s class!
Guys this is not fringe anymore. It’s absolutely insane and backwards and most of you (maybe except Grimm) are going to eventually see the light.

Triggered no. But do you honestly think it’s ok for a professor to tell a student she can’t use the term biological women? I would have written the paper again and used biological women so many times she would have had a stroke.

Given that it was a GENDER STUDIES class it may have been a perfectly reasonable request, but how the hell would you or I know?
The prof didn't say to simply remove the word but to "reassess (the) topic." But now we have two idiotic threads in Politics about how people can't use the term "biological woman" when the matter is about one gender studies class at one university. (And if the prof nailed one thing, it is that a lot of people have no understanding of the difference between sex and gender.)
But you just can't seem to be happy unless you to be triggered by stupid headlines. Seriously, I think you should seek some help.

Some professors suck. Had one give me an F on a paper once (first and only time) with no feedback at all, and when pressed for an explanation, simply said, "I thought it was well written but it wasn't what I was looking for."
Anyone who thinks this is some grand shift in American life because one professor acts a certain way probably needs to grow up a little.

Stuff that exists in the cloistered Ivory Towers of academia is not "mainstream" anything. Academics have always lived in this artificial, cloistered reality that often doesn't bear a whole lot of relation to the outside world, and some of them are true fruit loops, IMHO. Half the professors I dealt with back in the '90's were outright Socialists.
The problem is, those Ivory Towers are maintained by taxpayers, and taxpayers want to see a return on their investment. And these kind of professors produce degrees that are just not worth very much in the real world. What's an English degree with an MFA worth again? (I just checked, the "average" MFA supposedly earns $45K a year. I'm surprised it's even that high.) At the same time, students in these kind of programs can run up literally hundreds of thousands of dollars of student debt...which they're on the hook for the rest of their lives. And our universities are lousy with these kinds of programs.
If that sounds like a ridiculous scam, well, it's because it absolutely is, and people are growing more and more conscious of the fact that many degrees are basically useless and graduating from college (especially with a degree that isn't in anything in demand) just puts you in hock for life without giving you much of value in return.
At some point the lean times are going to come. They always do. What programs are going to get cut first?

How ironic that the various state lottery funded scholarship programs unduly motivated short sighted parents from pushing their kids to go into easy majors in order to maximize the likelihood that B+ GPAs would be sustained.
Therefore, a larger percentage of easy majors became the business model in universities.
To staff those easy majors, a larger percentage of roots & berries radical professors got hired. Maleducation of the easy-major kids becomes a predictable outcome.

instead of this sort of bullchit.
If the economy is as bad as Republicans say it is, why not spotlight their policies to improve it? You got Roe v Wade overturned and are limiting and restricting women's rights all across the country, why not shine a light on that success? What about the Republican tax cuts that exploded the deficits while benefiting the wealthiest corporations and individuals?
It gets the GOP base enraged, but does nothing to attract independents and moderate Republicans and Democrats.

The main issue is the Group Think. Individually, most of us recognize this stuff as silly. Maybe we chalk it up to academia, but this same messaging is all over social media and is being reinforced by universities.
How can we rein in the group think?
We have the 'same' people that went ballistic to get Title IX done who know want to kill women's sports by allowing more men in them. It's crazy. Backwards...
