Same for me, my dad landed tickets for us. I just graduated from Navy boot camp. We ended up seated behind a coot elderly couple. The husband constantly complained about Clemson players Coach Ford said wouldn’t play due to injury. He was referring to Terry Allen.played with a knee brace and still had almost 100 yards rushing

Don't remember the year but Whitehurst pulled it out at the end of the game with about 3rd and 15 to keep the ball with a thin lead.

My coot brother and his wife were in town for Thanksgiving. I was able to get tickets for them and my Dad. My brother and SIL left our seats to go elsewhere since we were in the Clemson student section. My Dad and I enjoyed the ride back to Ninety Six since Clemson destroyed SCar 45-0.

Same here. Went to Boy Scout game vs Fla St. I think coots may have won but FSU had some really cute cheerleaders dressed in short Indian outfits. I was about 12 but never forgot that part of the game.

last at WB! Wife was a 2nd yr grad student and stood in line at 6 months pregnant to get us 2 student tix. Sat in the student section with Clemson gear and witnessed the “Catch 1” by Butler.
Fast forward to the 2000 game and wife and I with our son (Clemson 2000) that she was pregnant with in 1977, get to witness Gardner’s “Catch 2”.
Have to remind my son he was there for the 1977 game as he doesn’t seem to recall it!😄

Early 1960s, I don’t remember the year exactly but Jimmy Howard, coach Howard’s son was playing for us and Tigers won.

One of my favorite times w/ my brother.
I got selected in student ticket lottery by the school that year. I contacted my brother (he was stationed at Shaw AFB) to tell him & found out USC reached out to the base for security workers & he volunteered. Drive down to Sumter after class on Friday, spend night w/ him & we (along w/ 1 of his buds) drive over to game.
He still gives me crap b/c of where we were. My seat was midway up the 3rd deck in the 1 endzone - most of the endzone was cut out of sight line, barely had enough to see Jame Davis' game winning TD. My brother got positioned down in front of Clemson fan/band section in the lower bowl, had Clemson cheerleaders on 1 side of him & Carolina cheerleaders on the other. Afterward we're walking out where he had to park on either Bluff or Shop Rd couple miles away (b/c couldn't get closer) & saw group of drunk girls stumbling to their car. 1 girl in hooker heel boots stepped in a hole & looked like a baby giraffe on the way down.

‘77 Fuller to Butler. Sat in the upper deck and when the chickens scored to take the lead, you could feel the upper deck literally moving. Remember leaving the stadium with the Tiger fans chanting Gator, Gator, Gator. We were going bowling for the first time in a long time.

Went in 2014 I believe to watch York play Spartanburg led by Clemson commit Tavien Feaster play in the state championship.
Only time I have ever been and vowed to never go back.
On another note my now wife got hit by one of their fans on the way to a Porta Potty and the perp ran off before the cops showed up. My wife is the opposite of a fighter.

As a Clemson student, my first game was in 1961. That was the year some USC frat. ran out on the field before the game in uniforms they had borrowed from Orangeburg high. The head cheer leader yelled "get 'em rats and we did. It was a "hellava" fight. To make matters worse, we lost the game, which meant we had to continue wearing the rat hats until after Thanksgiving.

1971 new upper deck, astro turf. Banner on the upper deck Declaw the paw. We upset them 17-7. They announced to stay off the astroturf near the end of the game. I believe every student there that day went on the field.

Saw a coot berate a young woman for cheering for her Tigers. Then the young woman’s mom proceeding to threaten the drunk coot within an inch of his life. He left and we cheered. Good job momma tiger. I hate the cockroach.
