Cade was never going to be good enough THIS SEASON even if he took every snap from the first game. Why can't you people see this? Teams practice for a reason. You earn game time based on what they see from a player in practice. The coaches could see CK needed more TIME to be truly ready for the starting job in a National Championship contender.

He’s clearly better than DJ. If he was named the starter earlier he would have experience for this big game.

Not necessarily. Coaches want to put young players in particular into situations they can excel in. With our atrocious WR and OL okay this year playing Cade would've been throwing him to the wolves
