Yesterday Darden pitched a complete game. Hats off to him unfortunately because it was a loss his performance will be overlooked. The hitting just was flat. Got to hit ball better but I think we shall avoid the sweep today and get back on track.

Yeah...CG, no walks, 5 KS, scattered 7 hits, 1 ER, 105 pitches. Deserved far better.

Our pitching is ranked much more highly than our hitting. Our team ERA is 18th while team batting average is 85th. We're 23rd in walks which helps pull our OBP into the 60s.

We've also played the 8th hardest strength of schedule - behind Oklahoma, Auburn, Ole Miss, Wake Forest, UCF, Miami, and Florida. Of those, only UCF (26) has a team ERA in the top 50. Only two of those teams have a better batting average: Oklahome (38) and Miami (63). The other 5 rank 126th or worse.

We have played one of the hardest schedules in the country and have more balanced results than anyone ahead of us. The TNet narrative that our pitching is a problem is completely unfounded.
