He came up to me in the gym once when he was with the Giants and said, "You got next?" I told him yes and instead of saying, "Mind if I play with you?" he said, "I'm on your team." Indeed he was.

as I recall neck injuries cut short his very promising playing career. the guy was a great player

Yep! He was a great athlete in HS, played QB. I hear he has had a successful career as Secret Svc. agent.
