Who was the last Clemson OL to have success in the NFL?

Dec 19, 2017, 11:41 AM

I can't recall many higher round draft picks or starters as of recent.

Who was the last UGA OL to have success in the NFL ?

List here - I don't watch the NFL so "success" is not for me

to determine - it does seem though from some of the conversations, that UGA's OL coach is the fulcrum point and not necessarily UGA alone.

Geville Tiger on Clemson football , "Dabo's only problem is he has to deal with turd fans questioning every move he makes.”

David Andrews, Clint Boling, Ben Jones, Cordy Glenn are all starters. Not to mention all the lineman Pittman coached prior like James Hurst, Jonathan Cooper, Travis Swanson, etc.

My point is, we don't have many examples to point to with OL like we do with DL or WR.

Is this a trick question?***

Chris Hairston maybe? I think Battle would've had a better chance had he not went into the supplemental draft. MacLain and Jay Guillermo were two of my favorites that didn't even get a snap.

gosh i know. it is awful. just think, if we had any lineman worth a sh!t, we might win a national championship or 2 or 3 or 4. oh wait..................

The question wasn't about OL in college, it was about success in the NFL

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I think we only had maybe 3 Olinemen drafted in the last...

Dec 19, 2017, 1:11 PM

10 years.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yeah and only 5 in the last 20 years.

Dec 19, 2017, 1:21 PM

I am not sure if we have had an OL taken in the first round. Mitch Hyatt may be the first.

Hyatt and Crowder will find a home too.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

No doubt. In 10 years the Tigers will be loaded in the NFL

Dec 19, 2017, 1:30 PM

with Olinemen. That was the last part of Dabo building the best program in college football. We have great talent on campus already and have turned the corner over the last four years. I think we already have a top 5 OL in college football and maybe the best.
