Who would you say was our best basketball coach?

If someone wants to come here and be that legendary coach, who is the benchmark? For success before, while, and after he was here, I guess you would think Barnes, but he left under a cloud, and is certainly not synonymous with Clemson basketball. Maybe that’s just it…no one sees the opportunity to be “the man” for Clemson.

Barnes, Purnell, Foster, and Cliff would be the best 4 of modern times. No one did anything earth shattering like winning at UNC

Mr. Clemson basketball.

OP was the best coach since Barnes, but Barnes was definitely the best.

Oliver Purnell could have been the most successful coach at Clemson if he would have had depth. His style of basketball was exciting and fun to watch but his players were burnt out at the end of the season.
40 minutes of #### required at least 9 players that could give quality minutes.
