a 4th down try from the Lions. FGs get blocked and returned for TDs, turnovers happen with scoop-and-score, etc...
I mean crazier things have happened in football and Tampa was only down by 1 score.

Either way, I was pulling for the Lions, but Bowles seemed to just hand the victory over to Detroit.

Am I missing something?

Bowles tried to justify his decision not to go for it in the postgame media session.

“They already had the field goal lined up, and there would’ve been about 12 seconds left on the clock to end the ball game,“ Bowles said. “We weren’t going to come back from that.“

Wasn’t it third down?
They call a timeout it’s still 3rd down.

Never mind. Read the box score wrong.

Agree - use the timeout. Still have a prayer.
