Why didn’t UVA have backcourt violation at end of game?

They never had possession in the frontcourt. It was just a tap out***

Ball was tapped backwards and there was no possession until UVA got the ball in the back court.

Because after the ball hits the rim there is, by rule, no possession established. So, when the ball was tipped (not possessed by UVA, but tipped) back into the backcourt there was no violation due to there being no prior established possession in the front court.
