Why even have DJ punt it there?

Unnecessary risk. Not really sure if he was looking for a quick open play and if it wasn’t there just punt it. Who knows anymore with this play calling.

It was a heckuva boot at that too. Didn’t even seem like he got his full leg behind it and the ball had massive hang time.

I think it also ensured no blocked punt by their special teams to flip momentum right before halftime.
