Why I think Clemson wins comfortably this week.

1. I think Cuse is over-rated. When they were 5-0 I looked at their schedule. I think I even posted on this board, "Looking at their schedule I could see them losing 6 in a row and needing to win the last game to even be bowl eligible." At the time, I didn't know the NCSU quarterback would be out of the game.

2. I think Dabo met with the defensive coaches this week (on Sunday). I am reminded of a story Mark Richt tells about a meeting with Bobby Bowden. Situation: Charlie Ward had started two games. FSU won both of those games. But, Ward had thrown 9 interceptions in those two games. Here is how Mark tells the story:

Bobby called me into his office and said, "I notice Cholly keeps throwing the ball to the wrong team. Is that his fault, is it my fault or is it your fault?" I replied, "I understand, coach. And I'll fix it."

I can see Dabo looking at Wes (and Eason) and saying, "Our guys are missing tackles and not covering their gaps. Is that their fault, is it my fault, or is it your fault?"

Listening to press conferences this week I think the message was sent very clearly and I think they got the message. I expect the best defensive game of the year tomorrow.

I wasn't really knocking your post. I was just trying to find somewhere to work in a Tigernetters only meeting because I thought it sounded funny considering the D players only meeting. But I'm going to wait until Sunday morning to do any self-examination. But my best friend when I was working was a FSU grad and biggest football fan I know. When he was a student he would go to every practice and use a stopwatch to time runners and so on. Nathan, this ain't you, is it? I also know about the famous Seminole, Chief Osceola, since I grew up in Charleston and the Chief died there in prison. Know about Burt Reynolds, too. I also know about the 1960 game when FSU played Citadel in Charleston and the game ended 0 to 0.
